A Moment is All It Takes

Amidst these unprecedented times as we look to our healthcare workers to perform the remarkable, we at Burlodge want to reserve a debt of gratitude to those who tend to get overlooked in the busyness of these operations.

I’m referring, of course, to the food service staff – both back of house and front of house. These people work tirelessly (and very likely, tiredly) to make sure those three squares (plus snacks!) are served up every day. They are typically humble and hard-working. They don’t ask for much, but they give of themselves in ways that most of us could not even fathom. And if there were ever a time that many of us could not really grasp the weight of

how these people make a difference in the day-to-day of health care operations, it’s likely now.

At Burlodge, we invite you to share your appreciation for those who do more than just show up at these oftentimes thankless jobs. They nourish, they care and, yes, they deliver. We ask you to take a moment to thank them in a way that lets them know how important they are.

To complement the health, safety and security that our medical teams deliver, it’s the comfort, nourishment and care that food and catering staff offer the can help make these difficult days a bit better. They’ll be back tomorrow to do it again, because that’s who they are. The unsung champions. The quietly dedicated. The everyday heroes.
